Shaping Expectations Therapy is dedicated to providing quality treatment using effective and research-based procedures to meet the needs of every child and the family. We utilize the methodologies of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA is a science focused on behavior and learning. It relies heavily on evidence-based research to decrease problem behaviors and to teach appropriate skills needed to improve the child's life experiences.
Our clinical vision is designed to create an optimal environment for learning and shaping behaviors while increasing the child's and the family's expectations as new skills develop. We believe that we can assist in "shaping expectations " of every child and their family to unlock the child's true potential.
We know that each child is a unique individual with their own set of personal strengths and learning style. In order to build on the child's abilities and strengths, you can expect the following from our behavior team:
In-depth functional assessment and individualized behavior plan developed in collaboration with the family's values
Weekly parent meetings on client progress
Initial and ongoing monthly parent training on goals and procedures for in various settings
Systematic monitoring of goals to adapt to the child's progression
Implementation of Individualized Educational Goals (Please see programs we offer for further details)
Positive and structured learning environment at our center.
Our team is comprised of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), Board Certified Assistant Analysts (BCaBA) Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), and behavior assistants. All of our staff members are professionally trained and passionate about working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
